TOXICATOR OPENS TO STRONG REVIEWS AFTER SOME HICCUPS

Saturday 15th March saw the debut of Alton Towers latest thrill ride, Toxicator, to the public.
The Huss Top Spin ride is extensively themed, including screens on either side acting as tanks filled with (presumably) toxic waste. These screens sync with the ride programme, and even have special videos to play at certain times such as opening, closing, and breakdowns.
Speaking of the latter, the ride experienced one of the most bizarre opening day stoppages ever on Saturday when the drainage below the attraction appeared to get clogged, spewing sewage onto the pathways around the ride. Whilst being somewhat apt for the theme, it required the ride and surrounding area to be evacuated for several hours. Toxicator did re-open later that day, and it must be said there was no direct fault with the ride at all, which seems to be running very smoothly.
